If you haven’t heard the news yet, Cardi B is diving deep into her entrepreneurial bag. Earlier this month, the Grammy Award-winning artist announced that she’s launching a fashion and beauty line in partnership with Revolve Group.
“Revolve knows the formula,” Cardi B tells ELLE exclusively during the Revolve Festival. “They’re experienced when it comes to pushing a brand and building it up.”
This won’t be the first celebrity-backed label the retailer has incubated. Revolve has also partnered with Brazilian mega-influencer Camila Coelho on her eponymous label and supermodel Elsa Hosk on the Helsa line. But it’s more than star power that makes these brands succeed—the women behind them are deeply involved in shaping the strategy. “They don’t just expect me to post on social,” Cardi says. “They’re helping me understand marketing and product quality, and they really get my vision.”
With a sharp business instinct, Cardi knew she needed a partner that could meet her at the level of ambition she brings. “One thing about Revolve—I’ve been to their warehouse. I’ve seen how they work,” she says. “They know I don’t want anything cheap. I want everything to feel good, look good, and still be accessible. They really listen.”
She’s also surrounded by a powerhouse team, from her longtime stylist, Kollin Carter, to her manager, Patience Foster. “I have a great team,” she explains. “When it gets too hard while recording the album, I can count on them. Like, I know Patience is gonna handle it. I trust her completely.”
In addition to her upcoming fashion and beauty line, Cardi is also the co-founder of Whipshots, the vodka-infused whipped cream that’s already made a splash. Balancing it all isn’t easy, but she’s stepping up to the challenge. “Right now, I’m overwhelmed but focused,” Cardi says. “Monday through Friday, it’s all business. I’m prepping to drop my album, launch two businesses, and still be there for my kids. It’s a lot—but I’ve seen other women do it, and I know I can too.”
Of course, no business journey comes without obstacles. With shifting tariffs impacting global commerce, Cardi’s not immune to the uncertainty. “Honestly, it’s scary,” she says. “But what can we do? We tried to warn them. I was out there knocking on doors.”
Still, she’s moving forward with optimism—and a love of fashion that continues to fuel her. When asked whether she’d choose a flawless face or a killer outfit for life, Cardi doesn’t hesitate. “Great outfit. Every time,” she says. “Your outfit speaks first. People see you walk in, and they’re like, ‘Oh, she looks good.’”
